This week <strong>Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>and Kennedy moved to the sixth and seventh fastest times in the world this year in 24.34 and 24.39.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Weitzeil swept the sprints with a 24.28. That time keeps her in sixth in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>\u00a0added a second individual event to her 100 freestyle in Rio. She finished second with a 24.33, to move to seventh in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy had a crushing third place finish with a 24.48, just .15 behind Manuel.<\/p>\n<p>Newly minted Olympian\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 24.70 in fourth place.\u00a0Arizona Wildcat\u00a0<strong>Katrina Konopka\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 24.84 for fifth.<\/p>\n<p>With a\u00a0second place finish in the 100 butterfly already secure,\u00a0<strong>Dana Vollmer\u00a0<\/strong>finished tonight in sixth with a 24.96.<\/p>\n<p>Manuel&#8217;s Stanford teammate\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal\u00a0<\/strong>secured a 400 freestyle relay place earlier in the week. Saturday morning, he was the only swimmer under 15 minutes, clocking a 14:58.59. That was his season&#8217;s best, good for 14th in the world this year.\u00a0<strong>Jordan Wilimovsky\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 14:53.12 at the Mesa stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series. That time put the open water Olympian sixth in the world this year.<\/p>\n<p>Jaeger lead for most of the race with Wilimovsky sitting on the lane rope by his hip. For parts of the final 300 meters Wilimovsky crept upwards. Jaeger brought his speed to another level in the final 150 meters and pulled ahead. The Michigan man touched first in 14:47.61 to move to fourth in the world this year.<\/p>\n<p>Wilimovsky touched the wall in 14:49.19. He&#8217;ll leave Omaha as the sixth best in the world this year and head to Rio with the mile and the open water 10K on his schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael McBroom<\/strong> finished third in 15:06.60, just three seconds\u00a0ahead\u00a0of\u00a0Tuscon Ford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chris Wieser\u00a0<\/strong>in 15:09.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PJ Ransford\u00a0<\/strong>followed in fifth with a 15:12.54. <strong>Logan Houck\u00a0<\/strong>was scratched into this final.
