On night seven of the 2016 USA Swimming Trials in Omaha,\u00a0Maya DiRado<\/strong>,\u00a0Katie Ledecky<\/strong>, and\u00a0Michael Phelps\u00a0<\/strong>each earned their third individual swims in Rio.<\/p>\n

Leah Smith\u00a0<\/strong>once again finished runner up to Ledecky in the 800 freestyle while\u00a0Missy Franklin\u00a0<\/strong>earned the opportunity to defend her 200 backstroke Olympic gold.<\/p>\n

For the second time this week\u00a0Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>finished second to Phelps. Last night it was in the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n

Swimming World<\/em>\u2018s\u00a0David Rieder<\/strong> and\u00a0Mike Stott<\/strong> captured interviews with athletes as they finished their races and also attended press conferences.<\/p>\n
