Murphy.\u00a0<\/strong>Murphy took over the lead at the 100 meter mark and shot ahead in the final 100 meters to touch in the second fastest time in the world this year with a 1:53.95.<\/p>\n<p>Pebley bumped into the lane rope for much of the race but still had enough to join his Cal teammate in Rio as he finished in 1:54.77.<\/p>\n<p>Defending Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Tyler Clary\u00a0<\/strong>touched third in 1:55.33.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sean Lehane\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth with a 1:56.44.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Austin Katz\u00a0<\/strong>finished fifth in 1:57.20.\u00a0<strong>Robert Owen\u00a0<\/strong>touched sixth in 1:57.48.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming in his second final of the week,\u00a017 year old\u00a0<strong>Michael Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh with a 1:57.86.\u00a0<strong>Hennessey Stuart\u00a0<\/strong>wrapped up the final with a 1:58.69.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"210744\"
