His time ranks him first in the world this year and is the second fastest of all time.<\/p>\n<p>His time clipped <strong>Eric Shanteau\u2019s <\/strong>American record of 2:07.42 set back in 2009. He also broke <strong>Kevin Cordes\u2019 <\/strong>U.S. Open record of 2:07.81 set yesterday during semifinals.
