Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>claimed her Olympic berth after finishing first in the women’s 100 fly. Her swift 56.48 is the second fastest in the world this year and a new personal best time.<\/p>\n

Worrell,\u00a0who trains with the University of Louisville,\u00a0is the current American record holder in the 100 fly in both short course yards and short course meters.<\/p>\n

The first-time Olympian\u00a0said she feels relieved and felt like she was able to enjoy herself during the race.\u00a0She\u00a0is also scheduled to swim the 200 fly, 100 free, and 50 free this week in Omaha.<\/p>\n

Worrell talked to the media after her race\u00a0about the transition from short course to long course, her relationship with head coach\u00a0Arthur Albiero,\u00a0<\/strong>and the role her faith and family have in her swimming.<\/p>\n
