{"id":209541,"date":"2016-06-27T17:42:04","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T00:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=209541"},"modified":"2016-06-27T17:42:04","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T00:42:04","slug":"lilly-king-heads-to-100-breast-finals-with-top-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lilly-king-heads-to-100-breast-finals-with-top-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Lilly King Heads to 100 Breast Finals With Top Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Short course American record holder\u00a0<strong>Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>was dominant in the second semifinal, finishing in 1:05.94, good for the top seed.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty four year old\u00a0<strong>Molly Hannis\u00a0<\/strong>of Tennessee Aquatics won the first semifinal in 1:06.24, just off her season&#8217;s best 1:06.16.\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili\u00a0<\/strong>was second to the wall with a 1:06.73, not far from her season&#8217;s best of 1:06.49.<\/p>\n<p>2012 Olympian\u00a0<strong>Jessica Hardy\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in her semifinal and fourth overall with a 1:06.73.\u00a0<strong>Sarah Haase\u00a0<\/strong>of Stanford had a breakthrough swim earlier this month in Santa Clara and will return fifth tomorrow night with her 1:07.15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andee Cottrell\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.44),\u00a0<strong>Melanie Margalis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.49),\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Miranda Tucker\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.60) also secured lanes in tomorrow&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2012 Olympian <strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:07.62)\u00a0finished ninth and will miss the final.
