That also moves her to second in the world this year, behind only\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Michelle Coleman\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 1:55.58 and\u00a0<strong>Boglarka Kapas\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with a 1:58.05.<\/p>\n<p>Another meet record fell in the men&#8217;s 800 freestyle as\u00a0<strong>Gabriele Detti\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 7:43.06, well faster than the 7:49.10. He slightly improved his second place world ranking with that swim.\u00a0<strong>Gregorio Paltrinieri<\/strong>, the current world leader finished second in 7:50.98. Third went to\u00a0<strong>Marcelo Acosta\u00a0<\/strong>in 8:00.14.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laszlo Cseh\u00a0<\/strong>went three for three on the weekend&#8217;s butterfly events with a 23.58 to win the 50.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 50 butterfly\u00a0<strong>Therese Alshammar\u00a0<\/strong>won the event in 25.94.\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>settled for second in 26.08. However, she was only .11 off her own World Junior Record. Her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katerine-savard-drops-penny-oleksiaks-50-fly-canadian-record-by-01\/\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian record fell<\/a> yesterday in Montreal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kylie Masse\u00a0<\/strong>topped the women&#8217;s 200 backstroke with a 2:09.79 and\u00a0<strong>Christopher Ciccarese\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s in 1:57.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jerry Stravius\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 100 freestyle with a 48.79.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 IM champion was\u00a0<strong>David Verraszto\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:00.09 while the women&#8217;s crown went to\u00a0<strong>Ilaria Cusinato\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:12.80.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke\u00a0<strong>Flavio Bizzarri\u00a0<\/strong>out touched\u00a0<strong>Daniel Gyurta\u00a0<\/strong>2:11.00 to 2:11.12.\u00a0<strong>Kanako Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>won the women&#8217;s event in 2:24.20.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2016-settecolli-trophy-day-2\/international-elite\/2016\/June\/24?ReturnUrl=\/results\/\" target=\"_blank\">View live results here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There was more fast swimming at the third and final day of the\u00a0the Settecolli Trophy in Rome.
