She\u00a0clocked a 56.84 to move up to fourth in the world rankings this year in the 100 butterfly, a four tenth improvement from her previously tenth 57.27. She was under American record pace at the half way mark an just under half a second from the U.S. Open record of 56.38.<\/p>\n<p>American record holder\u00a0<strong>Dana Vollmer\u00a0<\/strong>took the second seed with a 57.50.
