At junior worlds in Singapore last August he won the 400-meter free (3:48.91) and took second in the 200 free (1:48.42). Grant will swim at Stanford.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His 200 freestyle national high school record was just faster than the 1:33.70\u00a0<strong>Maxime Rooney\u00a0<\/strong>had posted earlier in the day. Before this May,\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>held the record with a 1:33.83 from 2009.\u00a0Shoults&#8217; 500 yard freestyle took down\u00a0<strong>Jack Conger<\/strong>&#8216;s 2013 mark of 4:13.87.<\/p>\n<p>The rising Stanford freshman is slated to compete at next week&#8217;s Olympic Trials.
