Included in that announcement were the three swimmers and one diver who will compete for the nation in Rio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fiona Doyle\u00a0<\/strong>will be the sole woman on the team. She is entered in the 100 breaststroke. At last summer&#8217;s World University Games, Doyle took home bronze in 1:07.15, fast enough to qualify.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicholas Quinn\u00a0<\/strong>will race in the 200 breaststroke. At the Eindhoven Swim Cup he posted a 2:11.24 to secure his spot on the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shane Ryan<\/strong> clocked a 53.93 100 backstroke to book his ticket to Rio. The American-Irish\u00a0dual citizen only earned the ability to represent Ireland last month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oliver Dingley\u00a0<\/strong>will be Ireland&#8217;s first diver since 1948. His participation in the 2016 European Championships <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ireland-has-12-swimmers-and-a-historic-3-divers-set-for-europeans\/\" target=\"_blank\">was also historic<\/a>, as he was among a trio of divers who were the first in nearly 20 years.
