SALT LAKE CITY \u2013 University of Utah men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving released its 2016-17 meet schedule this morning.<\/p>\n
Both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s squads will open the 2016-17 campaign at BYU (Sept. 22) in a relays-only meet before the women\u2019s team opens Pac-12 competition against Oregon State on Oct. 1 at Ute Natatorium.<\/p>\n
The following weekend, Utah will split squads for trips to the FGCU Invite (Ft. Myers, Fla.) and the Intermountain Shootout (Grand Junction, Colo.). Two weeks later, the teams resume Pac-12 action with dual meets at home against Arizona State (Oct. 21) and Arizona (Oct. 22).<\/p>\n
The Utes will spend the remainder of 2016 on the road, starting with a dual meet at UNLV (Nov. 4). The Ohio State Invitational (Nov. 18-20 in Columbus) follows and the calendar year closes with the men traveling to Wyoming on Dec. 3.<\/p>\n
The 2017 portion of the Utah schedule begins with diving competition vs. Harvard on Jan. 3. The swimming teams are back in action against the Crimson and Denver on Jan. 7.<\/p>\n
The following week, the women travel to Los Angeles for meets with UCLA (Jan. 13) and USC (Jan. 14). The divers will also compete in the UCLA Diving Invitational during that same time.<\/p>\n
The annual Desert Duel takes place in the pool on Jan. 21 when BYU visits. That will also be Senior Day for the Utah swimming and diving student-athletes.<\/p>\n
The Ute divers will then travel to the Air Force Diving Invitational (Jan. 27-28) before the women\u2019s swim team closes its regular season at Washington State (Feb. 11) and the men conclude at USC (Feb. 18).<\/p>\n
The Pac-12 Women\u2019s Championships, along with the Pac-12 Diving Championships will get underway Feb. 22 and run through Feb. 25. The Pac-12 Men\u2019s Championships are the following week (March 1-4). All three events will be held in Federal Way, Wash., for a third-straight year.<\/p>\n
NCAA Zone E Diving Championships will once again be held March 6-8 in Flagstaff, Ariz., while both the NCAA Women\u2019s Championships (March 15-18) and NCAA Men\u2019s Championships (March 22-25) will be held in Indianapolis, Ind.<\/p>\n
