With that announcement,\u00a0<strong>Jason Block\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Darragh\u00a0<\/strong>have been added to the Canadian Olympic roster.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian relay was not secured a space in Rio after it was not in the top 12 at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan. At the conclusion of the Trials, however, the team of\u00a0<strong>Javier Acevedo<\/strong>, Block, <strong>Santo Condorelli\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Yuri Kisil <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-canada-olympic-trials-mens-4-x-100-medley-relay-time-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\">swam a relay\u00a0time trial<\/a>. That relay posted a\u00a03:34.55, which earned them a spot at this summer&#8217;s Games.<\/p>\n<p>Neither athlete earned individual berths at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-canadian-olympic-swimming-trials\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Trials<\/a>, despite individual victories.\u00a0In April, Block won the 100 breaststroke, just .02 of the standard. Darragh\u00a0swept the butterfly events at that meet.<\/p>\n<p>Acevedo was already qualified in the 100 backstroke.
