International swimmers topped the podium, in seven of eight races. That time was new best for her, in addition to decimating the\u00a0meet record. <strong>Hayley Peirsol\u00a0<\/strong>held the old record at 8:26.87 from 2006. She also set the Australian record in the swim, which she negative split.\u00a0Tonight&#8217;s swim also slightly lowers Ashwood&#8217;s\u00a0second place world ranking. Only\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>has been faster (8:06.68) this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miranda Heckman\u00a0<\/strong>(8:50.14) was second and\u00a0<strong>Katy Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>placed third (8:53.92).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leah Stevens\u00a0<\/strong>(8:54.05) and\u00a0<strong>Daniella Hawkins\u00a0<\/strong>(8:59.11) were also under nine minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Francsca Bains\u00a0<\/strong>(9:07.96),\u00a0<strong>Cathryn Salladin\u00a0<\/strong>(9:08.24),\u00a0<strong>Sandra Sow\u00a0<\/strong>(9:10.22), and\u00a0<strong>Heidi
