2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Indianapolis: Day 3 Prelims Heat Sheet – Results<\/a><\/p>\n

Women’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

Melanie Margalis\u00a0<\/strong>continued her very solid weekend with a top seeded 200 IM. She touched well ahead of the field, finishing in 2:13.47.\u00a0Kaitlyn Jones\u00a0<\/strong>finished .03 ahead of\u00a0Vien Nguyen\u00a0<\/strong>as the two posted times of 2:!5.87 and 2:15.90.<\/p>\n

Tanja Kylliainen\u00a0<\/strong>qualified fourth in 2:16.42 and\u00a0Emily Cameron\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth in 2:16.81.\u00a0Meaghan Raab\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.06),\u00a0Siobhan Haughey\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.35), and\u00a0Rebecca Postoll\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.52) complete tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

Mark Szaranek\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 2:02.85 to earn tonight’s top seed. In second was\u00a0Gunnar Bentz\u00a0<\/strong>with a 2:03.15, just .05 ahead of\u00a0Michael Weiss\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:30.20.<\/p>\n

After a 400 IM win on Friday night,\u00a0Jay Litherland\u00a0<\/strong>touched fourth this morning in 2:03.25.\u00a0Evan White\u00a0<\/strong>qualified fifth in 2:04.57. There was tie for the sixth seed with\u00a0Sheng Jun Pang\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Nolan Tesone\u00a0<\/strong>both stopping the clock in 2:04.66.\u00a0Carlos Claverie <\/strong>(2:04.68)\u00a0<\/strong>rounds out the championship final.<\/p>\n

Women’s 200 Backstroke<\/h3>\n

Dominique Bouchard\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in a 2:11.09 and\u00a0Erin Voss\u00a0<\/strong>finished second this morning with a 2:11.87. Third went to\u00a0Clara Smiddy\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:12.06 and\u00a0Danielle Galyer\u00a0<\/strong>qualified fourth in 2:12.69.<\/p>\n

Hannah Stevens\u00a0<\/strong>(2:13.24),\u00a0Bridgette Alexander\u00a0<\/strong>(2:13.70), and\u00a0Kennedy Goss\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.06) were seeds five through seven.\u00a0Alice Treuth\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Asia Seidt\u00a0<\/strong>tied for the eighth seed in 2:14.18, requiring a swim off.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Backstroke<\/h3>\n

The top three finishers set themselves up for a tight battle tonight.\u00a0Corey Main\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in 2:00.06, followed by\u00a0Arkady Vyatchanin\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.47) and\u00a0Carter Griffin\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.50).<\/p>\n

Tristan Sanders\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Aaron Greene\u00a0<\/strong>were the next two to the wall in 2:01.04 and 2:01.18.<\/p>\n

Rex Tullius\u00a0<\/strong>(2:02.42),\u00a0Michael Reilman\u00a0<\/strong>(2:02.83), and\u00a0Jay Litherland\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.71) also earned lanes in tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Women’s 100 Freestyle<\/h3>\n

Fresh off her 100 backstroke win,\u00a0Olivia Smoliga\u00a0<\/strong>turned in the top time this morning in a 54.68. 100 butterfly champion\u00a0Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 54.83 with\u00a0Arianna Vanderpool Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>on her toes with a 54.85.<\/p>\n

Ivy Martin\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth\u00a0in 55.79 and\u00a0Mallory Comerford\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fifth in 55.86 this morning.<\/p>\n

Veronica Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>(55.92),\u00a0Siobhan Haugher\u00a0<\/strong>(55.96), and\u00a0Trude Rothrock\u00a0<\/strong>(56.27) also will swim in tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Freestyle<\/h3>\n

Josh Schneider\u00a0<\/strong>led the top four swimmers under the 50 second mark this morning. He touched in 49.19, ahead of Canadian\u00a0Santo Condorelli\u00a0<\/strong>in 49.32.\u00a0Marcelo Chierighini\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 49.36 and\u00a0Joao De Lucca\u00a0<\/strong>qualified fourth with a 49.93.<\/p>\n

Michael Chadwick\u00a0<\/strong>tied for fifth this morning with\u00a0Zheng Weh Quah\u00a0<\/strong>was the two both touched in 50.02.\u00a0Darian Townsend\u00a0<\/strong>(50.19) and\u00a0Ali Khalafalla\u00a0<\/strong>(50.43) will take tonight’s outside lanes.<\/p>\n
