THE first full night of swimming took place at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Cary, N.C.<\/p>\n<p>SwimAtlanta&#39;s Amanda Weir began the night with a victory in the women&#39;s 200-yard free with a time of 1:45.73, while SwimMAC&#39;s Mack Montgomery picked up the men&#39;s 200-yard free title with a time of 1:36.73.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of 15-year-olds battled in the women&#39;s 100-yard breast with Auburn&#39;s Megan Molnar touching out Colonel Aquatics&#39; Kaylin Burchell, 1:01.37 to 1:01.41.  SwimMAC&#39;s Mark Gangloff eased through the men&#39;s 100-yard breast with a top time of 53.47.<\/p>\n<p>Waves of Wilmington&#39;s Cari Blalock knocked off Weir in the women&#39;s 100-yard fly, 53.79 to 54.02, while SwimAtlanta&#39;s Andrejs Duda clinching the men&#39;s 100-yard fly crown in 47.66.<\/p>\n<p>Raleigh Swim&#39;s Sarah Henry pocketed the women&#39;s 400-yard IM title in 4:07.79, while Greenville&#39;s Matt Houser posted a winning time of 3:46.82 in the men&#39;s 400-yard IM.  <\/p>\n<p>The 400-yard free relays closed the night with SwimAtlanta&#39;s Caroline Kenney, Allyson Sweeney, Jana Mangimelli and Weir winning the women&#39;s laurels in 3:22.07. SwimMAC&#39;s Thomas Santoli, Gangloff, Corey Day and Cullen Jones ripped through the men&#39;s race with a winning effort of 2:59.80.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CARY, North Carolina, March 6.
