LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV’s Janelle Nguyen<\/strong>, a rising senior on the Rebels’ swimming and diving squad, is one of 200 student-athletes that has been invited to participate in the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, hosted at the organization’s headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind.<\/p>\n

The four-day forum is designed to assist student-athletes in charting their career paths, as well as provide an opportunity to network and learn from current athletics professionals. Nguyen and her fellow student-athletes at the event will hear from a variety of speakers and panelists during large, general sessions, while there will also be opportunities to engage with her peers as well in small group discussions.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited about this opportunity to meet and network with other career professionals and the student-athletes at the forum,” said Nguyen. “I’m also not only looking forward to what I can learn during my time there, but also what I can bring back from it to pass along to my fellow teammates and peers in SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee).”<\/p>\n

In order to be eligible be selected to the forum, student-athletes needed to be in their junior or senior year and be nominated by their school’s athletic department, before the NCAA then selects the final 200 participants.<\/p>\n
