{"id":204730,"date":"2016-05-26T09:26:04","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T16:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=204730"},"modified":"2016-05-26T09:26:04","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T16:26:04","slug":"romanian-nationals-close-out-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/romanian-nationals-close-out-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Romanian Nationals Close Out Day 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katinka-hosszu-tunes-up-at-romania-international\/\" target=\"_blank\">tuned up with an easy 400-meter IM yesterday<\/a>, the 2016 Romanian Nationals continued on day two without Hosszu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sabin Bonea<\/strong> claimed the men&#8217;s 800-meter free with a time of 8:19.47, while<strong> Florin Raiu<\/strong> placed second in 8:26.83. \u00a0<strong>Bogdan Petre<\/strong> finished third in 8:32.66.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dumitrescu Colti<\/strong> topped the women&#8217;s 1500-meter free in 17:20.94. <strong>\u00a0Rebecca Pojar<\/strong> checked in second with a 17:57.49, while <strong>Gabriela Dragomir<\/strong> placed third in 18:18.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Norbert Trandafir<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 100-meter free in 49.19 with <strong>Marius Radu<\/strong> touching in second in 49.33. \u00a0<strong>Robert Glinta<\/strong> grabbed third in 49.92.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ana Iulia Dascal<\/strong> posted a 56.66 in the women&#8217;s 100-meter free, while Algeria&#8217;s <strong>Amel Melih<\/strong> touched second in 57.57 with<strong> Victorita Bogdaneci<\/strong> taking third in 58.49.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrei Roman<\/strong> turned in a 1:03.00 to win the men&#8217;s 100-meter breast. <strong>\u00a0Andreeas Dinca<\/strong> finished second in 1:06.10 with <strong>George Oancea<\/strong> winding up third in 1:06.27.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tatiana Chisca<\/strong> raced her way to a 1:09.47 to win the women&#8217;s 100-meter breast, while <strong>Florina Ilie<\/strong> placed second in 1:12.03. \u00a0<strong>Henrietta Fangli<\/strong> finished third in 1:13.93.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alex Coci<\/strong> captured the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly in a time of 2:01.05. \u00a0<strong>Daniel Martin<\/strong> (2:03.17) and <strong>Andrei Rusen<\/strong> (2:06.40) closed out the top three.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexandra Dobrin<\/strong> topped the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly with a 2:18.49. \u00a0<strong>Kata Korponay<\/strong> finished second in 2:20.60, while <strong>Gabriela Gadea<\/strong> touched third in 2:22.27.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2016-romanian-international-live-results\/international-elite\/2016\/May\/25\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Romanian International: Live Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After Katinka Hosszu tuned up with an easy 400-meter IM yesterday, the 2016 Romanian Nationals continued on day two without Hosszu.
