Dec. 11. Four swimmers are among 10 athletes tapped for membership into the Bowling Green State University circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the most prestigious collegiate leadership honor society in the nation.<\/p>\n
They were inducted during ceremonies held Friday, Dec 8.<\/p>\n
JEN JARJOSA (West Chester, Ohio), the daughter of George and Penni Jarjosa, is a senior majoring in biology and pre-medicine. Selected for membership under the athletics category, she is a four-year
\nvarsity swimmer who earned Mid-American Conference All-Academic first team honors last year. Named to the GTE Regional All-Academic first team, Jarjosa is a member of Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honor society and Golden Key National Honor Society. In addition, the Lakota High School graduate has received numerous academic scholarships, including Bowling Green's Presidential and University Book scholarships.<\/p>\n
KIM MODEN (Napoleon, Ohio), a junior apparel merchandising and product development major, is the daughter of William and Mary Jo Moden. Selected for membership under the athletics category, she is a
\nmember of the women's swimming and club water polo teams. Moden is a two-year Mid-American Conference swimming qualifier and finalist in both individual and relays. In the community, she has volunteered her
\ntime assisting with Red Cross Bloodmobiles and ollecting canned goods for a local food pantry. A graduate of Napoleon High School, she is a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron family and consumer science
\nhonor society.<\/p>\n
ANDY JENKINS (Oak Harbor, Ohio) was selected for membership under the athletics category. A senior production and purchasing major, he is a member of the men's swim and golf teams. During the 1998-99 season
\nJenkins was selected as the BGSU Men's Swimmer of the Year as well as earning Mid-American Conference All-Academic first team honors. The Oak Harbor High School graduate also qualified and competed at the US Olympic Swim Team Trials this past year. Jenkins is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta freshmen academic honor society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. He is the son of Mark and Susan Jenkins.<\/p>\n
KRIS WAECHTER (Massillon, Ohio) was selected for membership under the athletics category. A junior aviation major, he is a three-year member of the men's swimming and diving team. A recipient of the University's Air Force ROTC Scholarship, Waechter is active in the Air Force ROTC and serves as a support group commander.
