Pini is a three time Olympian, including the first from Papua New Guinea to ever compete in an Olympic final. The 34 year old finished eighth in the 100 butterfly at the 2008 Games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashley Seeto\u00a0<\/strong>is the other veteran of this team, at 28 years old. He\u00a0currently holds the national record in the long course 50 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>Sixteen year old\u00a0<strong>Leonard Kalate\u00a0<\/strong>and a pair of 17 year olds,\u00a0<strong>Ryan Maskelyne\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Shanice Paraka,\u00a0<\/strong>are the youngest on the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barbara Vali-Skelton,\u00a0<\/strong>the national record holder in the 50 and 100 breaststrokes is also on the roster, as is\u00a0200 IM national record holder <strong>Stanford Kawale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonard Kalate\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong> Samuel Seghers<\/strong> complete the group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rob Van Der Zant<\/strong> will serve as the coach for the meet.<\/p>\n<p>The meet takes place in Fiji next month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Papua New Guinea will send a roster of eight swimmers to the 2016 Oceania Championships.
