The boys scored 331.5 points while runner up Regis Jesuit registered 252 points.\u00a0<strong>Kris Malinin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Shamzi Alkaff<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mason Fine<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Craig Heimark\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 1:24.55 in the 200 freestyle\u00a0relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danny Kovac\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the 100 backstroke title in 49.69. In that event,\u00a0<strong>Gabriele Sassia\u00a0<\/strong>of Highland&#8217;s Ranch finished in 50.15 and\u00a0<strong>Ty Coen\u00a0<\/strong>of Regis Jesuit was third with a 51.61. Sasia went on to win the 100 butterfly in 49.32, ahead of Regis Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ty Coen\u00a0<\/strong>and Fossil Ridge&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Ybarra\u00a0<\/strong>(50.69).<\/p>\n<p>Regis Jesuit also won one relay and one individual event\u00a0on the way to their runner up finish.\u00a0Coen,\u00a0<strong>Elijah Warren<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Simon Barshay<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Alexander Stepman\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 1:31.88 to win the 200 medley relay.\u00a0Warren<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>topped the 100 breaststroke in 54.82. Greeley West&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brody Lewis\u00a0<\/strong>finished in 56.91, and\u00a0<strong>Andrew Weiss\u00a0<\/strong>of Rampart touched third in 57.13.<\/p>\n<p>Boulder&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chris Nicholson\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle in 1:37.85.\u00a0<strong>Griffin Eiber\u00a0<\/strong>of Arapahoe was second in 1:39.88. Greeley West&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brody Lewis\u00a0<\/strong>touched third in 1:41.34. Eiber was then first to the wall in the 100 freestyle (45.07).\u00a0<strong>Chris Nicholson\u00a0<\/strong>of Boulder touched second in 45.12 and\u00a0<strong>Hunter Fuqua\u00a0<\/strong>of Cherry Creek\u00a0completed the podium in 46.58.<\/p>\n<p>Fairview&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Zarian\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in the 200 IM in 1:49.98. Kovac was runner up in 1:50.56, while Warren touched third in 1:52.93. Zarian then won the 500 freestyle in 4:34.45, ahead of Boulder teammates\u00a0<strong>Nathan Rock\u00a0<\/strong>in 4:40.27 and\u00a0<strong>Quinton Pierce\u00a0<\/strong>in 4:42.36.<\/p>\n<p>In the 50 freestyle,\u00a0<strong>Max Grogan\u00a0<\/strong>of Ponderosa was first to the wall in 21.04. Pomona&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anthony Laurita\u00a0<\/strong>out touched<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Malinin 21.36 to 21.38 for second place.<\/p>\n<p>Boulder ended the meet with a relay win when Nicholson,\u00a0<strong>PJ Stapleton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mick Bartholomew<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Rock\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock\u00a0in 3:06.21.<\/p>\n<p>On the boards,\u00a0<strong>Octavio Lucrero\u00a0<\/strong>of Bear Creek scored 604.65 points, well ahead of Arapahoe&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caleb Ives\u00a0<\/strong>with 535.30 points. Smoky Hill&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Devin Bellamy\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with 532.05 points.<\/p>\n<h2>4A<\/h2>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain claimed the school&#8217;s second consecutive state title on Saturday. They won two relays on their way to 358 total points, ahead of Valor Christian&#8217;s 259 point total.<\/p>\n<p>In the opening 200 medley relay,\u00a0<strong>Jerry Birnbaum<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Gabe Grauvogel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brayden Love<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kaiden Kimball\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 1:37.32, while Birnbaum,\u00a0<strong>Harrison Buckley<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Westin Stieglitz<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kyle Leach\u00a0<\/strong>took the 400 freestyle relay title with a 3:08.08.<\/p>\n<p>Leach was an individual winner for Cheyenne Mountain, when he stopped the clock at 1:39.41 in the 200 freestyle. Thompson Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Liam Gately\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:40.41 and third went to Air Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Griffin Ayotte\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:41.68.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caleb Hicks <\/strong>of Air Academy\u00a0clocked a 4A state record of 49.19 to win the 100 butterfly. Love earned second in 49.63.\u00a0Golden High School&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daric Sundeen\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 50.94.<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 breaststroke, Love finished in 56.22, just ahead of Hicks in 56.39 and D&#8217;Evelyn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Moranetz\u00a0<\/strong>in 59.63.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samuel Willett\u00a0<\/strong>of Silver Creek won the 200 IM in 1:53.16. Mullen&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Blayze Jessen\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:54.13 and freshman\u00a0<strong>Ryan Peterson\u00a0<\/strong>of Wheat Ridge was third in 1:55.15. Willett was a double winner with his 51.15 100 backstroke.\u00a0Sundeen finished runner up in 51.83 and Birnbaum touched third in 51.95.<\/p>\n<p>Air Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tommy Baker\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Denver South&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Keegan Bundy\u00a0<\/strong>20.93 to 20.96 to win the state title in the 50 freestyle. Estes Park&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Austin Park\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium in 21.41. Baker completed the sprint sweep with a 44.70 in the 100. Denver South&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Keegan Bundy\u00a0<\/strong>was the runner up in 45.41 and Silver Creek&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Jepson\u00a0<\/strong>placed third in 46.73.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson Valley teammates Gately and\u00a0<strong>Christopher Eddy\u00a0<\/strong>finished in 4:33.71 and 4:35.31 to top the 500 freestyle podium. Cheyenne Mountain&#8217;s Leach completed the podium in 4:36.72.<\/p>\n<p>Air Academy took the 200 freestyle relay crown with the team of Baker, Hicks,\u00a0<strong>Zach Reeder<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Griffin Ayotte\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:25.51.<\/p>\n<p>On the boards,\u00a0<strong>Casey Fellows\u00a0<\/strong>took the state title with his 530.30 points for Valor Christian.
