Swimming World Magazine<\/em> contributor and Open Water Swimming advocate, Steven Munatones<\/strong>, suffered a heart attack on May 13<\/a> and has been recuperating successfully ever since<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, with medical bills and rehab weighing the Munatones family down at this tough time in the family’s life, a Go Fund Me fundraising page<\/a> has been set up to help provide the family some relief.<\/p>\n

Sometimes you meet someone who\u2019s so extraordinary, it\u2019s hard to believe. Steven Munatones is one of those unusual people. Not only is he an exceptional dad, friend, athlete, and business person, who\u2019s optimism is infectious, he\u2019s also the kind of guy who’s consistently there for everybody he knows. Which is why we need to be there for him now.<\/p>\n

On May 12, Steven\u2019s son Skyler found him lying unresponsive on the bathroom floor of their home. He immediately gave his dad CPR, and called an ambulance.<\/p>\n

He literally saved his father\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

Steven had suffered a massive heart attack, and is currently in critical condition, surrounded by family, and prayers from people all over the world, who he’s impacted with his positivity, and through his life-long devotion to the sport of swimming, as well as his international work endeavors. While his fitness level and positive attitude will help him, Steven has a very long and extensive road of rehabilitation and recovery ahead.<\/p>\n

With four children\u2014Sabrina at UC Berkley, and Skyler leaving for UC San Diego in the fall, and twin 13 year old daughters Sydney and Sophia– we hope you\u2019ll join us in raising money for this incredible family. Steven’s recovery will prevent him from working for an indefinite period of time. Your donation will soothe the heavy financial burden Steven’s recovery will create. Steven is a successful serial entrepreneur, writer, world- renowned Open Water swimming expert, currently the President and co-founder of Kaatsu Global, Inc., Harvard graduate, husband and dad of four amazing children, and an all-around spectacular guy who makes the word “enthusiastic” look dull. His work ethic is crazy. His passion for fitness, family and friends is unparalleled. This is a man you want in your corner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
