While a number of top swimmers did not attend the meet in favor of turning their attention towards the long course season, a number of meet records did fall.<\/p>\n<h2>Girls Meet<\/h2>\n<p>Crean Lutheran claimed the women&#8217;s team title with 147 points, not far ahead of Palo Alto with 135. Ayala earned 129 points for third, just edging out Martin Luther King with 128.<\/p>\n<p>Palo Alto&#8217;s <strong>Zoe Lusk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Grace Zhao<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Katie Francis<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Claire Lin\u00a0<\/strong>started the meet off with a win in\u00a0the girls 200 medley relay, touching in 1:42.41. In second was Granite Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chloe Clark<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Isabella Sangraw<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Heaven Quintana<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kassidy Henson<\/strong>\u00a0in 1:43.84. Monte Vista&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gillian Flath<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Makenna Turner<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Isabella Barattolo\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium in 1:44.04.<\/p>\n<p>Zhao,\u00a0<strong>Zoe Lusk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Peyton Weng<\/strong>, and Lin combined for a meet record 1:33.64 for Palo Alto in the 200 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Senior\u00a0<strong>Kenisha Liu\u00a0<\/strong>of Ayala had a large victory in the 200 freestyle, finishing in 1:46.17. Second place finisher\u00a0<strong>Lauren Green\u00a0<\/strong>of Pioneer stopped the clock in 1:48.08.\u00a0<strong>Miranda Heckman\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:48.25.<\/p>\n<p>Liu grabbed another victory in the 100 freestyle, this time in meet record fashion, when she stopped the clock in 49.01. MenloAther&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Izzi Henig<\/strong> got second in 49.16.\u00a0<strong>Claire Fisch\u00a0<\/strong>of Martin Luther King snagged third in 49.54.<\/p>\n<p>The top two finishers in the 200 IM broke the two minute barrier.\u00a0<strong>Chloe Isleta\u00a0<\/strong>of Presentation\u00a0led the way in 1:59.27 while Glendora&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexis Margett\u00a0<\/strong>also slid under the barrier in 1:59.78. Ayala&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mikki Thompson\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with her 2:00.35.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elise Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>of Crean Lutheran set the meet record in prelims of the women&#8217;s 50 freestyle with her 22.64. In finals\u00a0she\u00a0was slightly slower in 22.75, still good enough for the win. Henig<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>won silver in 22.82 and\u00a0Fisch<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>placed third in 22.96.<\/p>\n<p>Glendora&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexis Margett\u00a0<\/strong>took down the 100 butterfly meet record, stopping the clock in 52.77. Green finished second in 53.65, and\u00a0<strong>Emily Eastin\u00a0<\/strong>of Crean Lutheran earned bronze\u00a0with her 54.12.<\/p>\n<p>Granada&#8217;s\u00a0Heckman<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>recorded a meet record in prelims of the women&#8217;s 500 freestyle when she touched in 4:46.13. At night, the freshman finished in 4:46.45.\u00a0<strong>Courtney Tseng\u00a0<\/strong>of Sunny Hills earned runner up, just behind in 4:46.87. Crean Lutheran&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brittany Kampfer\u00a0<\/strong>earned third in 4:47.95.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sophie Krivokapic-Zhou\u00a0<\/strong>of Santa Clara was first to the wall in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 53.50, not far ahead of Granite Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chloe Clark\u00a0<\/strong>in 53.67.\u00a0<strong>Chloe Isleta\u00a0<\/strong>from Presentation was third in 54.02.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Halle Morris\u00a0<\/strong>of Terra Linda claimed the 100 breaststroke title in 1:01.30. Tulare Western&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mallory Korenwinder\u00a0<\/strong>was just behind in 1:01.40. Zhao secured third in 1:01.54.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Courtney Vincent,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Anissa Barroso<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lauren Vitort<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Claire Fisch\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 3:24.77 to win the 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys Meet<\/h2>\n<p>Oak Ridge High School scored 136 points, just ahead of San Ramon Valley with 130. Clovis High School secured third with 107.<\/p>\n<p>The team from Oak Ridge out touched the team from San Ramon to open the meet.\u00a0<strong>Colby Mefford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ethan Dillard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Bryce Mefford<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Leon Kassianeko<\/strong> touched in 1:32.29, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Jake Rollo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hank Poppe<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Spencer Daily<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Teagan Cheney\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:32.36.\u00a0<strong>Andrew Cho<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Robert Cheng<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alex Liang<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Liang\u00a0<\/strong>earned third in 1:33.57.<\/p>\n<p>The men from Clovis finished the 200 freestyle relay in meet record time of 1:23.12, thanks for\u00a0<strong>Graham Hauss<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jacob Rolih<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jesse Serpa<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Zach Koch<\/strong>. In the 400 freestyle relay, they came up short of the meet record, but Hauss, Rolih,\u00a0<strong>Seth Nabors<\/strong>, and Koch touched in 3:03.53.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Liang<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>finished in meet record time of 1:36.65 on his way to victory in the 200 freestyle.\u00a0<strong>Liam O&#8217;Haimhirgin\u00a0<\/strong>of Bella Vista touched second in 1:36.67 and third went to\u00a0<strong>Jarod Hatch\u00a0<\/strong>with a 1:37.49.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Liang won again in the 500 freestyle, setting another meet record with his 4:23.41.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Hatch won silver this time in 4:26.73.<strong> Jordan Blitz\u00a0<\/strong>of Torrey Pines completed the podium in 4:28.46.<\/p>\n<p>Dillard was well ahead of the field for an individual victory in the 200 IM, when he touched in 1:47.58. Amador Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chris Jhong\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:49.37.\u00a0<strong>Karl Arvidsson\u00a0<\/strong>of Woodside snagged third in 1:50.51.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Albert Gwo\u00a0<\/strong>of Los Altos won the 50 freestyle in 20.07. Mater Dei&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christian Hockenbury\u00a0<\/strong>earned silver in 20.55 and\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Ho\u00a0<\/strong>of St. Francis took bronze in 20.59.<\/p>\n<p>Mefford added to his relay victory with an individual title in the 100 butterfly, stopping the clock in 47.89. University City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brendan Santana\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 48.20, just ahead of third place\u00a0<strong>Grant Watson\u00a0<\/strong>(48.25) from College Prep.<\/p>\n<p>Another meet record fell in prelims of the boy&#8217;s 200 freestyle relay when the San Ramon team of\u00a0<strong>Teagan Cheney<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jackson Cardinal<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hanke Poppe<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Brannan Haket\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:23.26.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Haimhirgin was first to the wall in the 100 freestyle, touching in 43.86. Gwo was second in the 100, stopping the clock in 44.05. Hart&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adam Osowski\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 45.32.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christopher Staka\u00a0<\/strong>of Aptos went a 47.67 in prelims of the\u00a0100 backstroke to set another meet record. Tonight he was even faster in 47.39. Ho touched second in 48.45. Santana finished third with a 49.19.<\/p>\n<p>Poppe also earned an individual meet record with his prelims 100 breaststroke swim of 54.72. Today he turned in a 54.97 for the state title.
