The Games will consist of over 42 sports, lasting 12 days with 7,500+ athletes from over 70 countries. The World Maccabiah Games are the third largest international sporting competition in the world and the world&#8217;s largest international Jewish event.\u00a0 To learn more about the sports offered and to access an application, please <a href=\"http:\/\/support.maccabiusa.com\/site\/TR?fr_id=1090&amp;pg=entry\" target=\"_blank\">visit our website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rick Ehrlich<\/strong>, Overall Swimming Chair for the U.S. Team is excited to be working with his volunteer committee to appoint the swimmers to represent the USA in pool.\u00a0 The overall team that the USA will field will be comprised of 1,200+ strong and will be the largest traveling delegation from the USA to participate in any international sporting event.<\/p>\n<p>The Maccabiah Games is more than an international sporting competition; it is a celebration of Jewish culture, unity and pride. ISRAEL CONNECT, Maccabi USA&#8217;s unique cultural and educational program, takes place for six days prior to the start of the Games.
