Schedule of Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n Hit refresh for all the latest coverage.<\/p>\n NCAA champion\u00a0Ella Eastin<\/strong> topped the competition in prelims of the women’s 200 IM with a qualifying time of 2:13.70.<\/p>\n A duo of 2:14’s grabbed the second and third place seeds for tonight’s ‘A’ final with\u00a0Maya DiRado<\/strong> clocking a 2:14.36 over\u00a0Sarah Henry’s\u00a0<\/strong>2:14.70.<\/p>\n Fourth was picked up by\u00a0Madisyn Cox<\/strong> with a 2:15.68 finish, while fifth went to\u00a0Katie Ledecky<\/strong> and her time of 2:16.24.<\/p>\n Elizabeth Beisel,\u00a0<\/strong>last night’s 400 IM champion, posted a time of 2:16.60 for the sixth place seed.<\/p>\n Annie Zhu<\/strong> (2:17.39) and\u00a0Hali Flickinger\u00a0<\/strong>(2:18.20) rounded out the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n A trio of 2:03’s highlighted prelims of the men’s 200 IM with the top two qualifiers posting times .01 seconds apart.\u00a0Josh Prenot<\/strong> clocked a time of 2:03.46 to qualify first for tonight’s ‘A’ final over\u00a0Jay Litherland’s<\/strong> 2:03.47.<\/p>\n Picking up the third place seed was\u00a0Gunnar Bentz<\/strong> with a time of 2:03.83.<\/p>\n Marton Barta<\/strong> finished fourth in prelims with a time of 2:05.55, just ahead of\u00a0Sean Grieshop’s\u00a0<\/strong>2:05.65.<\/p>\n Sixth was grabbed by\u00a0Mick Litherland<\/strong> and his time of 2:05.92, while seventh went to\u00a0Andrew Winton’s\u00a0<\/strong>2:06.49.<\/p>\n Finishing eighth in prelims was\u00a0Alexander Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>with a 2:06.62.<\/p>\n Tasija Karosas\u00a0<\/strong>bested the competition in prelims of the women’s 200 back with a time of 2:13.45. Finishing close behind was\u00a0Lisa Bratton<\/strong> with a qualifying time of 2:13.57.<\/p>\n Hannah Moore<\/strong> grabbed the third place seed with a 2:13.79, ahead of\u00a0Bridgette Alexander’s\u00a0<\/strong>2:14.32, good for fourth.<\/p>\n Brittany MacLean\u00a0<\/strong>finished fifth in prelims with a time of 2:15.23, while\u00a0Alex Walsh<\/strong> picked up sixth with a 2:15.43.<\/p>\n Elizabeth Beisel<\/strong> (2:15.85) and\u00a0Danielle Galyer\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.95) were seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n Jacob Pebley\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ryan Murphy<\/strong> continued to claim top seeds together as the Cal duo finished 1-3 in prelims of the men’s 200 back. Pebley claimed the top seed for tonight’s ‘A’ final with a time of 1:59.86 to be the only athlete under the 2-minute mark, while Murphy settled for third and a time of 2:01.49.<\/p>\n Sitting between the Cal teammates at second was\u00a0Jay Litherland\u00a0<\/strong>with a qualifying time of 2:00.63.<\/p>\n Michael Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Colt Williamson<\/strong> turned in similar times to claim the fourth and fifth place seeds for tonight’s final. Taylor stopped the clock at a 2:02.86 over Williamson’s 2:02.94.<\/p>\n Sixth in prelims went to\u00a0Taylor Delk<\/strong> and his time of 2:03.63.<\/p>\n Sebastien Rousseau\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.11) and\u00a0Jason Park\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.38) wrapped up the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n A strong grouping of NCAA sprinters highlighted prelims of the women’s 100 free.\u00a0Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the top seed with a time of 54.77. She was followed closely by\u00a0Lia Neal<\/strong> and her time of 54.81.<\/p>\n Not to be left behind was NCAA champion\u00a0Olivia Smoliga<\/strong> and young sprint-star\u00a0Amanda Weir.<\/strong> Smoliga turned in a 54.89 for third, just ahead of Weir’s 54.92.<\/p>\n Katie Ledecky<\/strong> joined the sprinting contingent with a 55.33 finish, good for the fifth place seed in tonight’s ‘A’ final.<\/p>\n Sixth was picked up by\u00a0Shannon Vreeland<\/strong> and her time of 55.47, while\u00a0Temarie Tomley<\/strong> claimed seventh with a 55.58.<\/p>\n Felicia Lee\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the top eight with a 55.70 finish.<\/p>\n Marcelo Chierighini\u00a0<\/strong>lit up the pool in prelims of the men’s 100 free, nearing his 2016 best of 48.20 with a first place finish of 48.66.<\/p>\n Grabbing second was last night’s 50 free winner,\u00a0Nathan Adrian<\/strong>, who stopped the clock at a 48.98. Adrian’s 2016 best is a 48.00 from last month’s Mesa stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.<\/p>\n Jack Conger\u00a0<\/strong>posted the only sub-50 second 100 of the morning, turning in a time of 49.74 for the third place seed.<\/p>\n Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the fourth place seed with a 50.09 finish, while fifth was grabbed by\u00a0Ryan Held<\/strong> and his time of 50.28.<\/p>\n Finishing close behind Held was\u00a0Townley Haas<\/strong> and his time of 50.34.<\/p>\n Robert Howard<\/strong> (50.52) and\u00a0Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> (50.54) kept it close for seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Everything you need to follow along with day three prelims of the 2016 Atlanta Classic.
