THE swimming blogosphere has continued to expand at an exponential rate, and part of our job at <i>Swimming World<\/i> is to keep an eye on trends such as these within the sport.  Starting this week, <i>Swimming World<\/i> will be shining the light on various swimming blogs throughout the world on a weekly basis to help our readers find some of the best and brightest blogs available in the swimming community.<\/p>\n<p>One of the posts that caught our eye recently is a great interview of KING Aquatics&#39; Ariana Kukors done by Australia&#39;s <a href=http:\/\/www.BehindTheBlocks.com target=_blank>BehindTheBlocks.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an excerpt from the interview:<\/p>\n<p><i>Priyant:  So to the Australians that may not know who you are, tell them a bit about where you train now.<\/p>\n<p>Ariana: I live in Seattle and train with the King Aquatic Club under Sean Hutchison. We have a great group out here and I really enjoy the team atmosphere. We are all supportive of each other and with such a fast group of swimmers there is always someone doing something amazing in practice, which is motivating for everyone else to do their best.<\/p>\n<p>Priyant: You are currently at the University of Washington, right?<\/p>\n<p>Ariana: Yes, I&#39;m a full time student at UW.<\/p>\n<p>Priyant: What are you majoring in?<\/p>\n<p>Ariana: I&#39;m planning to major in Business right now. I haven&#39;t picked what my specialty will be so I&#39;m keeping my options open. I&#39;m also getting a minor in Law, Society, and Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Ariana: I also train everyday with my younger sister, Mattie, which is something I&#39;m really grateful for. She is such an amazing person and keeps me going in and out of the pool<\/p>\n<p>Priyant: Nice. Along with Mattie, there&#39;s also your sister Emily, all three of you competed at the 08 Olympic Trials, right?<\/p>\n<p>Ariana: Yes, it&#39;s something special that we can all share and relate to each other with. Being at the Olympic Trials with my sisters was something that we will always remember. Competitive swimming as a sport is hailed as the last untainted &#39;pure sport&#39; on Earth, and Australia happens to be one of, if not, the most dominant nation on the international stage.
