The Royal Belgium Swimming Federation has announced that the nation will send 17 swimmers to the 2016 LEN European Championships.<\/p>\n
When swimming begins in London on Sunday, Belgium will be represented by eight women and nine men.<\/p>\n
Kimberly Buys\u00a0<\/strong>is slated to swim an impressive six events- the 100 freestyle, 50 and 100 butterfly, 400 and 800 freestyle relays, and the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n Juliette Casini\u00a0<\/strong>also has six entries, listed in all three relays, plus the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles.<\/p>\n Camille Bouden, Juliette Dumont, Valentine Dumont, Lotte Goris, Fanny Lecluyse <\/strong>and Jade Smits<\/strong> complete the women’s roster.<\/p>\n For the men,\u00a0Glenn Surgeloose<\/strong> leads the way with six entries. He is expected to compete in all three relays, as well as the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles.<\/p>\n Pieter Timmers<\/strong>\u00a0is entered in five events- the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles along with the freestyle relays.\u00a0Louis Croenen\u00a0<\/strong>is entered in four events- the 200 freestyle, 100 and 200 butterfly, and the 800 freestyle relay.\u00a0Dieter Dekoninck\u00a0<\/strong>also has four entries, the 100 and 200 freestyles and 400 and 800 freestyle relays.<\/p>\n Lander Hendrickx<\/strong>, Jonas Coreelman\u00a0<\/strong>Jasper Aerents, Nils Van Audekerke <\/strong>and Lorenz Weiremans\u00a0<\/strong>complete the men’s roster.<\/p>\n The team is also sending an impressive seven coaches.
