Second place went to\u00a0<strong>Phee Jinq En\u00a0<\/strong>in a 2:34.91 and\u00a0<strong>Erika Kong\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 2:36.48.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke champion\u00a0<strong>Sandeep Sejwal\u00a0<\/strong>also set a meet record with his 2:15.58.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/wong-fukang-wins-malaysias-first-gold-medal-at-youth-commonwealth-games\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wong FuKang<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>placed second in 2:18.79 and\u00a0<strong>Kwok Ka Fai\u00a0<\/strong>got third in 2:18.84.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cai Lin Khoo\u00a0<\/strong>won gold in the women&#8217;s 400 freestyle with a 4:20.43. Silver went to\u00a0<strong>Raina Saumi Grahana\u00a0<\/strong>in 4:24.54, while\u00a0<strong>Sagita Putri Krisdewanti\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium in 4:28.30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welson Sim Wee Sheng\u00a0<\/strong>was the gold medalist in the men&#8217;s 400 freestyle with a 3:53.74. Silver went to\u00a0<strong>Sajan Prakash\u00a0<\/strong>in 3:58.08. The bronze medalist was\u00a0<strong>Aflah Fadlan Prawira\u00a0<\/strong>in a 3:58.71.<\/p>\n<p>The top three swimmers were under 28 in the 50 butterfly<strong>. Sze Hang Yu\u00a0<\/strong>touched first in 27.34.\u00a0<strong>Chan Kin Lok\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 27.63 for second. Third went to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/bisp-swimmer-nicholle-toh-flies-high-at-the-singaporean-chmapionships\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nicholle Toh <\/a><\/strong>in 27.85.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 50 butterfly,\u00a0<strong>Glenn Victor Sutanto\u00a0<\/strong>touched first in meet record time of 24.23.\u00a0<strong>Cheran de Silva\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 25.07 and third went to\u00a0<strong>Ng Chun Nam Derick\u00a0<\/strong>in 25.09.<\/p>\n<p>Another meet record fell in the women&#8217;s 100 backstroke when\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Au\u00a0<\/strong>added to her 50 backstroke win with a 1:00.48.\u00a0<strong>Yessy Yosaputra\u00a0<\/strong>was far behind, posting a 1:05.65.\u00a0<strong>Sofie Kemala\u00a0<\/strong>placed third in 1:05.90.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I Gede Siman S Sudartawa\u00a0<\/strong>also lowered his own meet record in the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke, touching in 55.73.\u00a0<strong>Ricky Anggawidjaja\u00a0<\/strong>was second with his 57.21.\u00a0<strong>Tern Jian Han\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium in 58.94.<\/p>\n<p>The team from Hong Kong went the meet record in the women&#8217;s 400 freestyle relay.\u00a0<strong>Cheng Camille Lily Mei<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Yu Wai Ting<\/strong>, Hoi-Shun, and\u00a0<strong>Chan Kin Lok\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 3:55.14.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 400 freestyle relay meet record also fell.\u00a0<strong>Triady Fauzi Sidiq,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Putera Muhammad Rand<\/strong>a,\u00a0<strong>Glenn Victor Sutanto, <\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Joshi Jundi Karim<\/strong> combined for a 3:26.45.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On day three of the 2016 Malaysia Open, seven meet records fell.
