{"id":200600,"date":"2016-05-06T11:17:02","date_gmt":"2016-05-06T18:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=200600"},"modified":"2016-05-06T11:17:02","modified_gmt":"2016-05-06T18:17:02","slug":"jordan-wilimovsky-haley-anderson-lead-usa-swimming-open-water-national-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/jordan-wilimovsky-haley-anderson-lead-usa-swimming-open-water-national-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Jordan Wilimovsky, Haley Anderson Lead USA Swimming Open Water National Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>USA Swimming has announced the 12 members of the 2016-2017 Open Water National Team.<\/p>\n<p>Olympic qualifiers\u00a0<strong>Haley Anderson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sean Ryan<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jordan Wilimovsky\u00a0<\/strong>lead the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Gemmell,\u00a0<\/strong>the 10K national champion is also on the men&#8217;s team, as is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ashley-twichell-wins-10k-open-water-national-title-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Champion<\/a>\u00a0<strong>Ashley Twichell\u00a0<\/strong>on the women&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>The other three men are\u00a0<strong>Alex Meyer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brendan Casey<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>David Heron<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emily Brunemann<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Eva Fabian<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Peacock<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Taylor Pike\u00a0<\/strong>complete the women&#8217;s roster. Pike <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-taking-roster-of-11-to-2016-fina-world-junior-open-water-champs\/\" target=\"_blank\">will represent the U.S<\/a>. in the 7.5K at\u00a0the 2016 FINA World Junior Open Water Championships in July.<\/p>\n<p>The team is determined by first including the 2016 Open Water Olympic Team.
