To keep the numbers increasing, Whitten and the CSCAA are working hard with athletic directors to keep struggling college programs alive.<\/p>\n<p>Since taking over the role in the CSCAA, Whitten said he has been more &quot;diplomatic&quot; than he was as editor-in-chief of <i>Swimming World Magazine<\/i> to make sure he is able to continue working with administrators.<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest stories involving collegiate swimming is the talk of combining national championships in one location in the spring.
