PHOENIX, Arizona, December 3. UNITED States Masters Swimming has started a new venture with Club Assistant to bring online registration to that organization of more than 40,000 members.<\/p>\n

In this exclusive SwimmingWorld.TV interview, featured in the December issue of Swimming World Magazine, from the recent American Swimming Coaches Association world clinic, Dan Wegner of Club Assistant talks about the evolution of the conversation between USMS and Club Assistance since 2000 and how it became a serious topic of discussion earlier this year. The endeavor officially began on the USMS web site last month.<\/p>\n
Moving from a mass mailing system to online registration was a major process in USMS, and Wegner said that making the process an online process streamlines registration from about three months with paper registration to “about one second.”<\/p>\n
Wegner said other benefits of online registration include member retention and savings on mailing registration cards. Even those who choose to mail in their registration can see a quicker turnaround time.<\/p>\n
