HUNTINGTON BEACH, California, November 21. TWO-time USAT Elite Triathlete of the Year Andy Potts has signed a multi-year contract agreement with TYR Sport Inc.<\/p>\n
An Olympian in the sport of triathlon in 2004, Potts made a name for himself early on in the pool. A 6-time NCAA All-American in swimming at the University of Michigan and a former USA Swimming National Team Member helped establish Potts as one of the top multi-sport swimmers in the world.<\/p>\n
Potts turned professional in the sport of triathlon in 2003 and was named the USAT Rookie of the Year. Since that time he has become a 2-Time ITU World Cup Champion, a 2-Time Ironman 70.3 California Champion, a 2-Time Escape from Alcatraz Champion, a 2007 U.S. National Champion and the 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Champion.<\/p>\n

At the 2008 World Championship 70.3, Andy led the pro men's field out of the water with a course-record-breaking swim in the 1.2 mile open water swim. Furthermore, Andy was top American finisher at this year's World Championship 70.3 and Kona Ironman World Championship.<\/p>\n
