All three swimming additions are natives of foreign countries, while the new diving signee is a native of Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sara al Khatib<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hometown: Ridgefield, Conn.<\/li>\n<li>High School: Immaculate High School<\/li>\n<li>Club Team: Ridgefield Aquatic Club<\/li>\n<li>Main Strokes: Distance Free<\/li>\n<li>Competed at the 2013 World Junior Swimming Championships for her home country of Lebanon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coach Hart: \u201cWe are looking forward to having Sara on the Flats in August. On her official visit, she instantly took to the team. She\u2019ll be a strong contributor in our women\u2019s distance program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tamir Gonen Cohen<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hometown: London, U.K.<\/li>\n<li>High School: Plymouth College<\/li>\n<li>Club Team: Plymouth Leader<\/li>\n<li>Main Strokes: 100 &amp; 200 Fly<\/li>\n<li>Competed at the at the European Short Course Championships in Dec. 2015 in Israel<\/li>\n<li>Originally from Israel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coach Hart: \u201cWe are absolutely thrilled that Tamir chose Georgia Tech. We\u2019ve had so many great swimmers from Israel, so we\u2019re very happy to continue that trend. She\u2019ll make an instant impact in our fly events and relays.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jordyn Sak<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.<\/li>\n<li>High School: Lakeside High School<\/li>\n<li>Club Team: Atlanta Dive Association<\/li>\n<li>Dives: 1-meter, 3-meter, Platform<\/li>\n<li>Finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup> in the 6A state meet in the 1-meter event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coach Ames: \u201cWe are excited to have Jordyn join the team. She is an outstanding athlete, and I look forward to working with her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tim Slanschek<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hometown: Sennwald, Switzerland<\/li>\n<li>Club Team: Swim Club Uster Wallisellen<\/li>\n<li>Main Strokes: 200 Fly, 200 &amp; 400 IM<\/li>\n<li>Competed in the European Short Course Championships in December 2015<\/li>\n<li>Has qualified for the European Long Course in London, U.K., where he will have an opportunity to qualify for the Olympics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coach Hart: \u201cWe are very excited to add Tim to our roster. Keeping the Switzerland connection going is important to us, as we\u2019ve had some successful Swiss athletes come through our program in the past.
