ITHACA, N.Y., Nov. 18. THE Princeton men's swimming and diving team won 11 out of 13 events to win their first two meets of the season. The
\ncompetition wasn't even close at the double-dual meet hosted by Cornell as the Tigers beat the Big Red 187-56 and Penn 191-52.<\/p>\n
Penn nbeat Cornell 145-96.<\/p>\n
The relay team of Patrick Donahue, Matt Harrigan, Jesse Gage and Mike Salerno won the 400 medley with a time of three minutes 27.64 seconds. The relay team of Gage, Cunningham, Nathan Rebuck and Salerno won the 400 freestyle relay (3:07.32).<\/p>\n
Kevin Volz won the 1,000 free (9:25.09) and the 500 free (4:34.74), Chris Cunningham won the 200 free (1:42.40) and Gage won the 50 free (20.76).<\/p>\n
Sophomore Carl Hessler won the 200 butterfly and set a new Cornell pool record with his time of 1:49.67. Harrigan won the 200 IM (1:53.93) and the 200 breaststroke (2:07.84), Salerno took the 100 free (47.16) and Steve Flemming won the 200 back (1:52.19).<\/p>\n
Cornell's Jon Cebulski prevented a Princeton sweep by winning both diving events.<\/p>\n
