Vsevolod Zanko<\/strong> won the men’s 100-meter breaststroke title at the 2016 Russian Nationals.<\/p>\n

Zanko, one of three swimmers to clear 1:00, won in 59.72. \u00a0That swim pushed him to 10th in the world rankings as he also cleared the Russian Olympic cut of 59.99.<\/p>\n

Kirill Prigoda<\/strong> and Anton Chupkov<\/strong>\u00a0tied for the second Olympic roster spot by tying for second with 59.94s. \u00a0Both times are under the Russian Olympic qualifying time with just two spots open for the team. \u00a0The tiebreaker for Russia is whoever swam faster in semis. \u00a0That means Prigoda earns the second spot, 1:00.17 – 1:00.55, for Russia.<\/p>\n

Ilya Khomenko<\/strong> (1:00.01), Andrei Nikolaev<\/strong> (1:00.21), Oleg Kostin<\/strong> (1:00.70), Aleksandr Palatov<\/strong> (1:00.82) and Rustam Gadirov<\/strong> (1:00.88) also swam in the finale.<\/p>\n
