{"id":196360,"date":"2016-04-17T09:39:58","date_gmt":"2016-04-17T16:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=196360"},"modified":"2016-04-17T09:39:58","modified_gmt":"2016-04-17T16:39:58","slug":"rikke-moller-pedersen-cranks-out-fina-a-cut-in-200-breast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/rikke-moller-pedersen-cranks-out-fina-a-cut-in-200-breast\/","title":{"rendered":"Rikke Moller Pedersen Cranks Out FINA A Cut in 200 Breast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rikke Moller Pedersen<\/strong> crushed the women&#8217;s 200-meter breaststroke finale at the 2016 Danish Open en route to a FINA A cut time.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen won the finale in a time of 2:24.86, well under the FINA A cut of 2:26.94 to punch her ticket to Rio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Wermuth<\/strong> placed well behind with a second-place 2:33.26, while <strong>Sara Krog Christoffersen<\/strong> finished third in 2:33.99.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paul Biedermann<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200-meter freestyle finale with a time of 1:47.37, while <strong>Anders Lie<\/strong> took second in 1:48.29. \u00a0<strong>Daniel Skaaning<\/strong> finished third overall in 1:49.10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soren Dahl<\/strong> (1:49.12) and <strong>Magnus Westermann<\/strong> (1:49.20), meanwhile, set themselves up to make the Danish Olympic team as part of the 800 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Biedermann&#8217;s time cleared the FINA A cut of 1:47.97 in the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monique Oliver<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 400-meter free in 4:15.95 with<strong> Lisa Steen Duus<\/strong> taking second in 4:18.86. \u00a0<strong>Anina Nicole Lund<\/strong> wound up third in 4:20.00.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viktor Bromer<\/strong> took home the men&#8217;s 100-meter fly title in 53.09 with <strong>Magnus Jakupsson<\/strong> earning second in 54.57. \u00a0<strong>Magnus Sloth Poulsen<\/strong> finished third in a time of 54.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>George Bovell<\/strong> topped the men&#8217;s 50-meter breast title in 28.01 with <strong>Tobias Bjerg<\/strong> earning second in 28.30. \u00a0<strong>Christian Rasmussen<\/strong> placed third in 28.78.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Bro<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 200-meter back in 2:14.26. \u00a0<strong>Anna Brandt Nielsen<\/strong> took second in 2:17.84 with <strong>Laura Glerup Jensen<\/strong> taking third in 2:18.53.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2016-danish-open-full-results\/international-elite\/2016\/April\/13\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Danish Open: Full Results &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rikke Moller Pedersen crushed the women&#8217;s 200-meter breaststroke finale at the 2016 Danish Open en route to a FINA A cut time.
