FEDERAL WAY, Washington, November 18. AT the Washington 4A and 2A Girls High School State Championships, Jackson (19) and Aberdeen (83) took home state titles. Garfield (157.5) and Squalicum (65) placed second, while Redmond (148.5) and Anacortes (61) took third. <\/p>\n
4A Individual Results<\/b>
\nJackson's Amber McDermott, Marina Pomar-Enders, Alana Pazevic, and Erin Holliday touched first in the 200 medley relay (1:48.02).
\nPazevic, a junior, had an individual win in the 50 freestyle (23.55) and McDermott had a first-place finishing time of 4:41.98 in the 500 freestyle.<\/p>\n
The group of Kelly Erickson, Jessica Soria, Rachel Kim, and Eryn Murphy united for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.94).<\/p>\n
Stacey Luke (Inglemoor) won the diving competition with a score of 412.70.<\/p>\n
Junior Maddy Morgan (Garfield) and sophomore Heather Harper (Redmond) tied for first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.60<\/p>\n
A. McDermott, Pomar-Enders, and Pazevic joined Courtney McDermott to win the 400 freestyle relay (3:32.26).<\/p>\n
2A Individual Results<\/b>
\nFife opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay. Megan Harkness, Nakayla Chan, Alicia Cleveland, and Jessica Trinidad touched in with a time of 1:56.01.<\/p>\n
Chan had dual individual wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. She finished with a 1:53.39 and 1:06.78, respectively. Cleveland won the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.00.<\/p>\n
Junior Asha Srivastava (River Ridge) took home first-place in the diving competition (315.60).<\/p>\n
Hayley Rieger, Rosie Jenssen, Hannah Brennan, and Katie Kaestner (Anacortes) united to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:45.63).<\/p>\n
Freshman Natilee Ruiz (Othello) highlighted her events. She won the 50 freestyle (23.29) and 100 backstroke (55.70) freestyle. Ruiz won the 50 freestyle by over a second. In addition, her 100 backstroke time exceeded the second-place finisher's time by 6.78 seconds.<\/p>\n
Aberdeen closed the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay. Raea Hillebrant, Savannah Davison, Maggie May, and Kayla Carson finished with a time of 3:44.97.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
