Women’s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cammile Adams\u00a0<\/strong>was the only swimmer under 2:10 this morning. The SwimMAC Team Elite member touched in 2:08.94, seven tenths off her season best world’s 13th 2:08.21.<\/p>\n

Swimming next to Adams, youngster\u00a0Cassidy Bayer\u00a0<\/strong>finished second overall this morning in 2:10.39.\u00a0Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 2:11.52.<\/p>\n

Lauren Case<\/strong> (2:12.22),\u00a0Maya Dirado\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.25), and\u00a0Ella Eastin\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.39) will return as the fourth through sixth seeds.\u00a0Ruby Martin\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>tied for seventh in 2:12.94.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pace Clark\u00a0<\/strong>won the first circle seeded heat in 1:59.00 this morning and that time was enough to earn a top seed for tonight.\u00a0Chase Kalisz\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:59.36 for second while\u00a0Jonathan Gomez\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:59.67 for third.<\/p>\n

Michael Phelps\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:59.98. The rest of tonight’s A final did not crack two minutes.\u00a0Gunnar Bentz\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.21),\u00a0Jack Conger\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.96),\u00a0Kyler Vanswol\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.20) and\u00a0Zach Harting\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.27) finished fifth through eighth this morning.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abby Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in the 50 freestyle with a 24.83.\u00a0Dana Vollmer\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 25.00, after posting a quick 100 fly last night<\/a>. \u00a0Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 25.10.\u00a0Madison Kennedy\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth in 25.18 and\u00a0Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth with a 25.22.<\/p>\n

Kennedy, Weitzel, and Vanderpool-Wallae have times from earlier in the season that place them 10th, 11th, and 15th in the world.<\/p>\n

Worrell was back on the blocks shortly after her 200 fly with a sixth place 25.36.\u00a0Amanda Weir\u00a0<\/strong>(25.54) and\u00a0Isabella Arcila\u00a0<\/strong>(25.61) will also be in tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Men’s 50 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>is the top qualifier for tonight’s 50 freestyle. Though well off his third in the world 21.70, Adrian posted a 22.49 this morning, just ahead of\u00a0Anthony Ervin\u00a0<\/strong>in 22.52.\u00a0Cullen Jones\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 22.62 in the first circle seeded heat and will enter tonight’s finals as the third seed.<\/p>\n

Erik Risolvato\u00a0<\/strong>(22.67),\u00a0Nick Soedel\u00a0<\/strong>(22.68),\u00a0Luis Flores\u00a0<\/strong>(22.68),\u00a0Michael Chadwik\u00a0<\/strong>(22.72), and\u00a0Derek Toomey\u00a0<\/strong>(22.73) will also swim in tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Women’s 100 Back<\/strong><\/p>\n

Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>swam the world’s 18th fastest time this season, with a 1:00.07. She already holds the sixth fastest time at 59.49.\u00a0Kirsty Coventry\u00a0<\/strong>dominated her heat to earn a second seed 1:00.81.\u00a0Maya Dirado\u00a0<\/strong>raced her way to a 1:01.10 for third.<\/p>\n

Kaitlin Harty<\/strong>\u00a0(1:01.84), Fernanda Gonzalez\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.06), and\u00a0Felicia Lee\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.24) placed fourth through sixth.\u00a0Missy Franklin\u00a0<\/strong>went a 1:02.38 for seventh.\u00a0Ella Eastin\u00a0<\/strong>completes the A final in 1:02.89.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Back<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Plummer\u00a0<\/strong>posted the world’s 20th fastest time this season, a 54.07,\u00a0a half second off his 11th fastest 53.50, to take tonight’s top seed.<\/p>\n

Ryan Lochte\u00a0<\/strong>touched second in 54.83.\u00a0Sean Lehane\u00a0<\/strong>goes into tonight with a third seed 55.81.<\/p>\n

Eugene Godsoe<\/strong> (55.92),\u00a0Michael Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>(56.23),\u00a0Marco Palacios\u00a0<\/strong>(56.34),\u00a0Arkady Vyatchanin\u00a0<\/strong>(56.46) and\u00a0Paul Le\u00a0<\/strong>(56.52) complete tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Molly Hannis\u00a0<\/strong>put up the top time this morning with a 2:28.56.\u00a0Ashley McGregor\u00a0<\/strong>was not far behind with a 2:28.88 for second seed. Third goes to\u00a0Emma Schoettmer\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:29.20.<\/p>\n

Hilde Luthersdottir\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth in 2:29.23, just ahead of\u00a0Melanie Margalis<\/strong>‘ and Laura Sogar<\/strong>‘s tied\u00a02:29.41s.\u00a0Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:29.52)\u00a0and\u00a0Haley Spencer\u00a0<\/strong>(2:29.98) complete tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Katie Meili<\/strong>, the winner of last night’s 100 breaststroke<\/a> and the owner of the 9th fastest time in the world this year was seven seconds off that time with a 2:30.36. Barring any scratches, Meili will be left to lead the B final tonight.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Breast<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chase Kalisz\u00a0<\/strong>led the field this morning by a wide margin. He stopped the clock at 2:13.81, ahead of\u00a0Nic Fink<\/strong>‘s 2:15.24 and\u00a0Steven Stumph<\/strong>‘s 2:15.43.\u00a0Miguel De Lara Ojeda\u00a0<\/strong>is the fourth seed in 2:15.93 while\u00a0Miguel Chavez\u00a0<\/strong>will return fifth tonight in 2:16.36.<\/p>\n

Despite demolishing his circle seeded heat,\u00a0Andrew Wilson<\/strong>‘s 2:17.12 only brings him back sixth.\u00a0Max Williamson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.65) and\u00a0Bj Johnson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.83) round out the A final tonight.<\/p>\n

Women’s 400 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n

Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>posted the second fastest time in the world this year, only slower than her own world leading 3:59.54. The world record holder cruised to a 4:03.54 this morning.<\/p>\n

Cierra Runge\u00a0<\/strong>swam head to head with training partner\u00a0Lotte Friis\u00a0<\/strong>and the two finished second and fourth in 4:10.51 and 4:12.10.\u00a0Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 4:10.74 for tonight’s third seed.<\/p>\n

Joanna Evans\u00a0<\/strong>returns as tonight’s fifth seed in 4:12.47 ahead of\u00a0Allison Schmitt\u00a0<\/strong>in 4:12.70.\u00a0Becca Mann\u00a0<\/strong>(4:13.10) and\u00a0Sarah Henry\u00a0<\/strong>(4:13.64) will also race in tonight’s A final.<\/p>\n

Jordan Wilimovsky\u00a0<\/strong>took his distance skills from the open water to the pool this morning to claim the top seed in the 400 freestyle in 3:51.29.\u00a0Clark Smith\u00a0<\/strong>was just behind him in 3:52.10.\u00a0Conor Dwyer\u00a0<\/strong>returns third tonight after posting a 3:52.33.<\/p>\n
