Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay (Multi-class)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MLC Marlins’\u00a0Sean Russo<\/strong>,\u00a0Blake Cochrane<\/strong>,\u00a0Timothy Hodge<\/strong>, and\u00a0Guy Harrison-Murray\u00a0<\/strong>won the event in 1:48.00.\u00a0Liam Schluter<\/strong>,\u00a0Matthew Levy<\/strong>,\u00a0Liam Bekric<\/strong>, and\u00a0Rowan Crothers\u00a0<\/strong>were second for Yeronga Park in 1:48.44. USC Spartans’\u00a0Jeremy McClure<\/strong>,\u00a0Jacob Templeton<\/strong>,\u00a0Brenden Hall<\/strong>, and\u00a0Daniel Fox\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the top three in 1:49.10.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Freestyle Finals<\/strong><\/p>\n
Cate Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>blasted a 23.84 second 50 freestyle to improve her world leading time and post a new Australian Commonwealth and All Comers record in the event. Cate was just eleven\u00a0hundredths shy of the world record in the event. The second fastest time in the world this year is over three tenths back, as\u00a0Sarah Sjostrom\u00a0<\/strong>has posted a 24.17.<\/p>\n
Sister\u00a0Bronte Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>raced to a second place 24.24, also under Australia’s Olympic qualifying time. Bronte maintains her fourth fastest time in the world with that swim.<\/p>\n
Third went to 17 year old\u00a0Shayna Jack\u00a0<\/strong>in 24.95.<\/p>\n

James\u00a0<\/strong>Roberts\u00a0<\/strong>,\u00a0Kyle Chalmers<\/strong>,\u00a0James Magnussen<\/strong>, and\u00a0Cameron McEvoy\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 3:12.26 in the 400 freestyle relay. The men split 48.63, 48.24, 48.17, and 47.22.<\/p>\n
That time would have finished third at the 2015 Fina World Championships in Kazan last year. This swim is a four second improvement for the Australians who finished 13th in Kazan last year with a 3:16.34.<\/p>\n

Men’s 1500 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n
Mack Horton\u00a0<\/strong>set a new Australian All Comers record in tonight’s 1500 freestyle. The 19 year old turned in a 14:39.54.<\/p>\n
That swim is only five seconds slower than the legendary\u00a0Grant Hackett<\/strong>‘s 14:24.56 Commonwealth record. It also moved Horton to first in the world this year, just ahead of Italy’s\u00a0Gregorio Paltrinieri\u00a0<\/strong>in 14:40.61.<\/p>\n
Jack McLoughlin\u00a0<\/strong>had a massive 33 second drop to earn an Olympic berth. The 21 year old raced to a 14:48.60, which moves him to third in the world this year. McLoughlin was previously outside the top 20.<\/p>\n
Third place went to\u00a0Jordan Harrison\u00a0<\/strong>in 15:18.92.<\/p>\n
