Karin Prinsloo<\/strong> missed the FINA A cut (1:58.96) by less than a second with a winning time of 1:59.86. Kristin Bellingan<\/strong> took second in 2:04.13 with Caitlin Kat<\/strong> placing third in 2:04.40.<\/p>\n

Jessica Whelan<\/strong> (2:06.49), Kate Beavon<\/strong> (2:07.75), Jenna Pearse<\/strong> (2:07.87), Kiara Noades<\/strong> (2:08.03), \u00a0Charlise Oberholzer<\/strong> (2:08.27), Michelle Weber<\/strong> (2:08.34) and Danica McWilliam<\/strong> (2:10.18) also competed in the finale.<\/p>\n

Chad le Clos<\/strong> moved to third in the world in the men’s 200-meter fly at the 2016 South African Nationals.<\/p>\n
Le Clos won the event in a time of 1:55.04, moving ahead of Li Zhuhao<\/strong> (1:55.54) for third in the world. \u00a0Only Daiya Seto<\/strong> (1:54.14) and Masato Sakai<\/strong> (1:54.21) have been faster this year.<\/p>\n
The swim secures le Clos’ chance to defend his Olympic gold medal in the event, during which he took down two-time defending Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps<\/strong> by just .05 seconds.<\/p>\n
Sebastien Rousseau<\/strong> took second tonight in 1:57.38, missing the FINA A cut of 1:56.97. \u00a0Dylan Bosch<\/strong> placed third overall in 1:58.18.<\/p>\n
Eben Vorster<\/strong> (2:00.96), Alard Basson<\/strong> (2:02.02), Brendan Levy<\/strong> (2:02.03), Ude Fuchs<\/strong> (2:03.63), Rudolf Visser<\/strong> (2:04.45), Dayne Odendaal<\/strong> (2:04.68) and JP vd Merwe<\/strong> (2:06.04) also swam in the finale.<\/p>\n
