Day 7 is kicking off with prelims of the following events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast MC<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast MC<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 50 Back<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/li>\n<li>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly MC<\/li>\n<li>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly MC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hit refresh for all of the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast MC:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prue Watt\u00a0<\/strong>(S13) cruised well ahead of the competition in the women&#8217;s 100-meter breaststroke Multi-Class with a time of 1:20.27.<\/p>\n<p>Grabbing the second-place seed was <strong>Tanya Huebner <\/strong>(S6) with a time of 1:41.89, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Tiffany Thomas Kane&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>(S6) 1:42.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Men&#8217;s 100 Breast MC:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blake Cochrane\u00a0<\/strong>(S7) posted the top time of the morning in the men&#8217;s 100-meter breaststroke Multi-Class with a time of 1:18.08.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ahmed Kelly<\/strong> (S3) took second in prelims with a time of 1:53.57, while\u00a0<strong>Grant Patterson<\/strong> (S2) finished third with a 2:19.55.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Women&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After turning in the top two times in the women&#8217;s 100-meter free finals yesterday, the Campbell sisters continued to lead the sprint leaderboard by turning in\u00a0<em>matching\u00a0<\/em>top seeds of 25.11 in the 50-meter free. The dynamic sprint duo delivered matching 25.11&#8217;s to top the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Both sisters finished shy of their 2016 world bests.\u00a0<strong>Cate Campbell<\/strong> currently sits third in the world with a 24.32, while\u00a0<strong>Bronte Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>holds fifth with a 24.37.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brittany Elmslie\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed third with a 25.41, while\u00a0<strong>Shayna Jack\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth with a 25.43.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Men&#8217;s 1500 Free:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mack Horton<\/strong> outlasted the competition in prelims of the men&#8217;s 1500-meter free, turning in a time of 14:48.77. Horton bettered upon his 2016 world best of 15:07.61 by almost twenty seconds. Horton&#8217;s new time moves him from eleventh to second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack McLoughlin\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed second in prelims with a time of 15:21.45, while\u00a0<strong>Jordan Harrison<\/strong> was third with a 15:32.88.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Men&#8217;s 50 Back:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Joshua Beaver<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Bobby Hurley<\/strong> kept it close in the men&#8217;s 50-meter back, posting times a shy .01 seconds apart. Beaver got his hand to the wall first to stop the clock at 25.38 over Hurley&#8217;s 25.39.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gede Sudartawa\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the third-place seed with a 25.43, while backstroke superstar\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> finished fourth with a 25.49.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Women&#8217;s 50 Breast:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jenne Johansson<\/strong> sprinted ahead of everyone in the women&#8217;s 50-meter breaststroke turning in the only sub-31-second time. Johansson stopped the clock at a 30.87.<\/p>\n<p>Grabbing the second-place seed was\u00a0<strong>Georgia Bohl<\/strong> with a time of 31.47, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Sally Hunter&#8217;s<\/strong> 31.54.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly MC:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Emily Beecroft\u00a0<\/strong>(S9) delivered the top time in the women&#8217;s 50-meter fly multi-class with a time of 32.05.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Corry<\/strong>, participating in the S14 division, took second with a 30.79, while\u00a0<strong>Katja\u00a0<\/strong><b>Dedekind\u00a0<\/b>(S13) was third with a 33.17.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly MC:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It was a close race in the prelims of the men&#8217;s 50-meter fly multi-class.\u00a0<strong>Mitchell Kilduff <\/strong>(S14)\u00a0took first in prelims with a 27.29 just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Daniel Fox&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0(S14) 27.94.<\/p>\n<p>In third was\u00a0<strong>Jack Ireland<\/strong> (S14) with a 28.78.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything you need to follow along with day 7 of the Australian Championships.
