Both boards believe that the merge will better support the present and future needs of the aquatics industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rich Garbee<\/strong>, APSP chairman of the board, and <strong>G. Bruce Dunn<\/strong>, NSPF chairman of the board, jointly stated, \u201cThe aquatics industry has seen dramatic changes over the past 10 years. APSP and NSPF each have a distinguished history of service to our industry. We are excited to build a vision where we can achieve even more together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A process is underway to plan and implement this merger of equals.<br \/>\n###<\/p>\n<p><strong>About APSP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Association of Pool &amp; Spa Professionals (APSP) is the world\u2019s oldest and largest association representing swimming pool, hot tub, and spa manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers\u2019 agents, designers, builders, installers, suppliers, retailers, and service professionals. Dedicated to the growth and development of its members\u2019 businesses and to promoting the enjoyment and safety of pools and spas, APSP offers a range of services, from professional development to advancing key legislation and regulation at the federal and local levels, to consumer outreach and public safety. APSP is the only industry organization recognized by the American National Standards Institute to develop and promote national standards for pools, hot tubs, and spas.
