SEATTLE, Nov. 10. THE Seattle University men's and women's swim teams both improved to 2-1 in dual meets this season with a sweep of the University of Puget Sound Saturday night at the Connolly Center East Pool. <\/p>\n
The men avenged a 107-98 loss to the Loggers last season, while the women were victorious after a 144-71 loss last season.<\/p>\n
Elliot Kolbe, Luc Lamarche and Chris Garcia were all double-event winners as the Redhawks captured first in every event. Kolbe was victorious in the 200-yard Individual Medley (1:57.11) and the 100-yard breaststroke (59.18). Lamarche took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.41) and the 100-yard freestyle (49.15). Garcia was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle (22.32) and the 100-yard backstroke. <\/p>\n
The men swept (placed first, second and third) in four events\u2014the 50 free, 200 IM, 100 free and 500-yard freestyle.<\/p>\n
On the women's side, Megan Ackerman remained undefeated on the year, winning two events, and Emily Woodworth captured first in two events. Ackerman won
\nthe 1650-yard freestyle (18:24.57) and the 500 free (5:17.54). Woodworth was victorious in the 200 IM (1:57.17) and the 100 back (1:01.25). The women's team swept the 1650 free and the 200 IM.<\/p>\n
