SHE&#39;s been diligent in her collegiate recruiting process, but <i>Swimming World<\/i> six-star standout <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=5194 target=_blank>Spindrift Beck<\/a> has chosen her destination for the next four years.<\/p>\n<p>Beck, who swims for the Dallas Mustangs and preps at The Hockaday School, will staying close to home as she is headed to Austin for the University of Texas with Kim Brackin.  Beck is an immediate impact player as she already has times that would have put her in the A final at the NCAA Division I Championships this year.  She boasts top times in the 100-yard breast (1:00.66) and 200-yard breast (2:10.51). <\/p>\n<p>&quot;I made the decision to commit to the University of Texas today,&quot; Beck told <i>Swimming World<\/i>. &quot;I&#39;m really happy about the program Kim Brackin and Jim Henry continue to form, and I absolutely love the girls on the team, so I&#39;m very excited about the next 4 years.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Beck, who was previously <a href=http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/lane9\/news\/18135.asp target=_blank>featured<\/a> by <i>Swimming World<\/i> in its College Recruit Rankings Profile series and <a href=http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/lane9\/news\/19052.asp target=_blank>a guest<\/a> on <i>The Morning Swim Show<\/i>, joins five-star <a href=http:\/\/www.takeyourmarks.com\/swm661?id=4902 target=_blank>Jessica Guro<\/a> in the Class of 2009 for the Lady Longhorns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DALLAS, Texas, October 29.
