{"id":192857,"date":"2016-03-31T10:20:09","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T17:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=192857"},"modified":"2016-03-31T10:20:09","modified_gmt":"2016-03-31T17:20:09","slug":"lara-grangeon-shines-in-200-fly-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lara-grangeon-shines-in-200-fly-in-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Lara Grangeon Shines in 200 Fly in France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lara Grangeon<\/strong> bettered her sixth-ranked season best of 2:07.98 with a 2:07.87 to win the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly at the 2016 French Open National Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Grangeon\u00a0was unable, however, to leapfrog <strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong> (2:07.68) into fifth in the world rankings. \u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell<\/strong> finished second in 2:10.45 with <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> taking third in 2:11.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jordan Coelho<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly in 1:56.49 with <strong>Paul Lemaire<\/strong> taking second in 1:58.17. \u00a0<strong>Matthias Marsau<\/strong> wound up third in 1:58.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben Stasiulis<\/strong> claimed the men&#8217;s 200-meter back title in 1:58.48. \u00a0<strong>Geoffrey Mathieu<\/strong> (2:00.03) and <strong>Maxence Orange<\/strong> (2:01.09) finished second and third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Santamans<\/strong> posted a top time of 24.59 to win the women&#8217;s 50-meter free. \u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell<\/strong> finished second in 25.06 as part of a 200 fly\/50 free double. \u00a0<strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong> took third in 25.13.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicolas D&#8217;Oriano<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 400-meter IM in 4:20.03 with <strong>Ahmed Mathlouthi<\/strong> taking second in 4:22.42. \u00a0<strong>Anthony Pannier<\/strong> picked up third in 4:23.94.<\/p>\n<p>Today was fairly uneventful compared to the madness that happened yesterday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/race-video-watch-controversial-yannick-agnel-200-free-from-france\/\" target=\"_blank\">with defending Olympic 200 free champion <strong>Yannick Agnel<\/strong> missing the Olympic team in that event due to a touchpad malfunction<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lara Grangeon bettered her sixth-ranked season best of 2:07.98 with a 2:07.87 to win the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly at the 2016 French Open National Championships.
