Texas raced its way to the top seed in the men’s 400-yard medley relay at the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.<\/p>\n

John Shebat<\/strong> (45.87), Will Licon<\/strong> (51.11), Joseph Schooling<\/strong> (45.51) and Jack Conger<\/strong> (41.92) cruised their way to a 3:04.31 for the top seed.<\/p>\n

The Longhorns are looking to break a tie with Stanford for the most 400 medley relay victories in NCAA history. Both have won the event 12 times.<\/p>\n

Missouri’s Carter Griffin<\/strong> (47.15), Fabian Schwingenschlogl<\/strong> (50.62), Andrew Sansoucie<\/strong> (45.69) and Michael Chadwick<\/strong> (41.20) qualified second in 3:04.66. \u00a0The Tigers are looking for the program’s first NCAA title of any kind, and could pull off the upset here in the medley relay.<\/p>\n

Louisville’s Grigory Tarasevich<\/strong> (45.65), Carlos Claverie<\/strong> (51.42), Pedro Coutinho<\/strong> (45.62) and Trevor Carroll<\/strong> (42.23) earned third overall in 3:04.92.<\/p>\n

California (3:05.32), NC State (3:05.88), Indiana (3:05.90), Tennessee (3:05.94) and Florida (3:05.99) also made the final heat.<\/p>\n
