ATLANTA, Georgia, September 30. USA Swimming's Athletes Executive Committee (AEC) announced its new Board of Directors chosen at the United States Aquatic Sports convention held in Atlanta this past weekend.<\/p>\n
Tyler Storie has taken over the chair of the AEC and will be the athletes' representative on the USA Swimming Board of Directors. Meanwhile, Linda Riker is the vice chair of the AEC and will also serve on the USA Swimming Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
Trent Staley moved into a consultant role as the Immediate Past Chair and will remain on the USA Swimming Board of Directors as an Ex-Officio member.<\/p>\n
The move of Tyler Storie replacing Trent Staley is not unprecedented. On top of having the same initials, the similarities continue. While Trent was the Senior Representative on the Oregon Swimming Board of Directors, Tyler served as the Junior Representative. Tyler then took over as the Senior Representative.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Tyler replaced Trent as the captain of the USC Trojans two years after Trent completed his time at USC.<\/p>\n
