The sixteen-year-old bypassed 59-seconds to stop the clock at a sizzling 58.98, dropping 1.02 seconds off her entry time of 1:00.00. York&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacqueline Clabeaux<\/strong> grabbed second overall with a time of 1:00.86, trimming .65 seconds of her entry time of 1:01.51, while\u00a0<strong>Ingrid Wall<\/strong> of New Trier was third with a 1:01.45.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew and Whitley went head to head in the 100 breaststroke to return as tonight&#8217;s top seeds. Andrew split a 24.48 and a 27.77 to finish with a time of 52.25 as the top seed for tonight&#8217;s final, while Whitley posted splits of 25.26 and 27.54 for a final 52.80. Neither swim was a personal best for Andrew or Whitley, but Andrew&#8217;s 51.75 NAG record sits only a half second away from Andrew&#8217;s prelim time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucie Nordmann<\/strong> of Magnolia and\u00a0<strong>Erin Earley<\/strong> of Hopkins Mariner\u00a0grabbed the first and second-place seeds for tonight&#8217;s finals of the women&#8217;s 200 back with close times. Nordmann posted a time of 1:54.20 over Earley&#8217;s 1:54.29. Earley delivered a faster front half of the race with a split of 55.60 at the 100 over Nordmann&#8217;s 55.78, but a 58.42 from Nordmann in the second 100 bypassed Earley&#8217;s split of 58.69. Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eireni Moshos<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a time of 1:55.20, dropping 2.08 seconds from her entry time of 1:57.28.<\/p>\n<p>Metro Atlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dean Farris<\/strong> rocketed to the top of the rankings in the men&#8217;s 200 back with a time of 1:42.98. Farris dropped 2.34 from his entry time to separate himself from the competition. Returning in the second-place seed is NOVA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wade O&#8217;Brien<\/strong> with a 1:44.90, making him the only other athlete under the 1:45-mark.\u00a0<strong>Matthew Marquardt<\/strong> of MHSW-OH rounded out the top three qualifiers with a 1:45.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katherine Drabot<\/strong> of Ozaukee maintained her spot atop the 100 free rankings with a 49.15 in prelims. Drabot split a 23.87 and a 25.28 to return tonight as the top qualifier.\u00a0<strong>Morgan Tankersley<\/strong> of GTSA-FL and\u00a0<strong>Riley Gaines\u00a0<\/strong>of XCEL-SE kept it close in prelims, turning in times a slim .06 seconds apart to return as second and third tonight. Tankersley turned in a time of 49.52, splitting 23.73 and 25.79, for second, while Gaines posted splits of 23.92 and 25.66 for a final 49.58.<\/p>\n<p>After slicing 6.26 seconds off his entry time of 4:27.50,\u00a0<strong>Talmadge Davis<\/strong> of Team Greenville moved from 15th to 1st in the men&#8217;s 500 free rankings with a final time of 4:21.24.\u00a0<strong>James Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>of Machine finished a close second in prelims with a time of 4:21.46, while NOVA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Frederick Schubert<\/strong> posted a 4:21.51 for third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Pike\u00a0<\/strong>of Razorback Aquatic Club led the competition in prelims of the 200 fly, turning in a 1:55.57 to return as the top seed in tonight&#8217;s finals. Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kylie Jordan<\/strong> delivered a 1:56.72 to claim second, shaving a total of 2.61 seconds off her entry time of 1:59.33. Wildcat Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Azra Avdic<\/strong> finished third in prelims with a 1:57.59.<\/p>\n<p>NOVA&#8217;s Schubert turned in another impressive swim in prelims of the men&#8217;s 200 fly, stopping the clock at 1:44.49 to take almost half a second off his entry time.
