A successor for <\/span><b>Lee, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who has held the position for six years, will try to be found before the South Korean Olympic Trials at the end of March. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Korean government, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/south-korea-swimming-federation-offices-raided\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which recently raided the national swimming organization<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, has multiple claims of corruption, including embezzlement, falsifying documents for funding, mishandling athletes\u2019 prize money, and bribes related to national team selection. Those allegations includes star swimmer <\/span><b>Tae Hwan Park\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> former coach,<\/span><b> Noh Min-sang. Noh <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allegedly provided $75,000 in bribes between January of 2009 and December of 2010. All told, the estimated total for stolen funds clears $2.9 million. Starting March 21 in Gouda, Netherlands, this event requires a top-four finish for Team USA to qualify for the Olympic Games. The 13 women that were selected for the Qualification Tournament are the same that recently captured gold for Team USA last month at the FINA Intercontinental Tournament in Lewisville, TX.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two-time Olympian <\/span><b>Kami Craig <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will lead a roster of four returners from the 2012 Olympic roster, including captain <\/span><b>Maggie Steffens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><b> Courtney Mathewson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Melissa Seidemann<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Throughout the four day meet, a staggering <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">seventeen <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Division II record were broken, with a majority of those coming from the Queens contingent. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Queens women won with 567 points, over 200 points ahead of runner-up Wingate, while the Queens men won a relatively closer contest, with 449 points over runner-up Lindenwood (382.5). Queens swimmers <\/span><b>Patricia Castro Ortega <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Dion Dressens <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">captured female and male swimmer of the meet, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Castro Ortega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was surely the star of the meet on the women\u2019s side, not only winning four individual events throughout the course of the meet, but setting new DII national records in all of them. She started by setting a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/queens-patricia-castro-ortega-lowers-own-200-im-ncaa-d2-record\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">new mark in the 200 IM in prelims<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/queens-patricia-castro-ortega-lowers-ncaa-d2-200-im-record\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lowering it to by another 1.5 seconds for a 1:55.63 in finals<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><b>Castro Ortega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also set new records in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/patricia-castro-ortega-cranks-out-another-ncaa-d2-record-in-400-im\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the 400 IM (4:08.56)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/queens-patricia-castro-ortega-claims-another-ncaa-d2-record-in-500-free\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">500 freestyle (4:39.28)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/queens-patricia-castro-ortega-wins-4th-title-with-ncaa-d2-record-in-100-free\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">100 freestyle (48.54)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Dreesens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> himself had an impressive performance on the men\u2019s side. The junior crushed his own DII record in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/184928-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the men\u2019s 200 free from the Bluegrass Mountain Conference last month<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dion-dreesens-crushes-ncaa-d2-200-free-record\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bypassing it by nearly 2 seconds to touch in 1:32.46<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He then went on to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dion-dreesens-nips-ncaa-d2-mark-in-500-free-in-prelims\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">clip the 500 free record in prelims<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/queens-dion-dreesens-smokes-ncaa-d2-record-in-500-free\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taking the final in 4:17.09<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
