Thursday night the Colorado Star swam a plethora of relays, including a breaststroke leg. Tonight, she finished in a lifetime best of 4:12.33\u00a0in the 400 freestyle, just under her 4:12.56 from 2013. Makos Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Alena Kraus<\/strong> and Swim Florida&#8217;s <strong>Kendall Brent<\/strong> tied for second\u00a0in 4:20.48.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford commit\u00a0<strong>Erin Voss\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 backstroke by nearly a second in a 1:02.26. She was followed by Mexican Olympian\u00a0<strong>Fernanda Gonzalez<\/strong>, representing the Colorado Stars, in 1:03.19. Gator Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Brooks\u00a0<\/strong>placed third in 1:03.91.<\/p>\n<p>Martin County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Lindgren\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Blue Dolfins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Zachary Poti\u00a0<\/strong>58.10 to 58.18 to claim the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke.\u00a0<strong>Luca Dioli\u00a0<\/strong>snagged bronze in 59.11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>was not quite as dominant in tonight&#8217;s 50 breaststroke, but was still first to the wall in a 31.45. Her South Florida teammate\u00a0<strong>Monica Alvarez\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 33.33. Second went to\u00a0<strong>Danielle Keymont\u00a0<\/strong>of Central Brevard in 32.58.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>avenged his loss in last night&#8217;s 100, edging\u00a0<strong>Richard Funk\u00a0<\/strong>for the 50 breaststroke title tonight. The two finished in 28.13 and 28.37. Azura&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicolo&#8217; Ossola\u00a0<\/strong>touched third in 29.03.<\/p>\n<p>Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>got her second win in as many nights, just beating Olympian\u00a0<strong>Claire Donahue\u00a0<\/strong>in the 50 butterfly. The 15 year old posted a 26.59, ahead of Donahue&#8217;s 26.84.\u00a0South Florida teammate\u00a0<strong>Catalina Mendieta\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the top three in 28.12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>lead a trio of 15 year olds on the podium in the 200 IM. The Gator Swim Club swimmer stopped the clock at 2:18.36.\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Golding\u00a0<\/strong>of South Florida finished in 2:19.85. North Palm Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alessandra Baldari\u00a0<\/strong>was back in third in a 2:23.23.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200 IM, unattached\u00a0<strong>Quinn Cassidy\u00a0<\/strong>won a close one over Swim Atlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alex Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>2:06.02 to 2:06.15.\u00a0<strong>John Fulginiti\u00a0<\/strong>of the Blue Dolphins\u00a0finished third in 2:08.74.<\/p>\n<p>A trio of Canadian National Teamers comprised the women&#8217;s 50 freestyle podium, finishing less than a tenth apart. Pine Crest teammates\u00a0<strong>Chantal Van Landeghem<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sandrine Mainville<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Michelle Williams\u00a0<\/strong>finished in 25.34, 25.39, and 25.41 for first through third.<\/p>\n<p>Though he added time from the morning, Swim Atlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Karl Krug\u00a0<\/strong>was still solidly ahead in the men&#8217;s 50 freestyle, touching in 22.81. Second went to Daytona Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Viktor Toth\u00a0<\/strong>in 23.52. Andrew was right behind in 23.56, good for third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcelo Acosta\u00a0<\/strong>took another distance title, winning the 400 freestyle for Azura in a 3:56.20. His teammate <strong>Franco Lupoli\u00a0<\/strong>also cracked four minutes with a third place time of 3:59.21.\u00a0Gator Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eric Geunes\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 3:57.63.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 400 medley relay South Florida&#8217;s squad of <strong>Carolina Colorado<\/strong>, Atkinson, Donahue, and Golding\u00a0was first to the wall in a time of 4:11.77. Second went to <strong>Caitlin Brooks<\/strong>, Ivey,\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kirschtine Balbuena<\/strong>\u00a0for Gator Swim Club with a 4:18.30. The Colorado Stars\u00a0placed third in 4:19.64 thanks to the team of <strong>Abigail Gonzales<\/strong>, Franklin,\u00a0<strong>Taylor Dirks, <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tang Yi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Azura\u00a0claimed the men&#8217;s 400 medley relay in a time of 3:56.17 with a team of <strong>Fernando Alatorre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marco Guarente<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marcos Lavado<\/strong>, and Acosta.
