NUNAWADING, Victoria, September 17. TODAY, the Nunawading Swim Club announced that it inked Rohan Taylor to a four-year contract as its new High Performance Coach. Taylor will begin his stint with the club on Oct. 6.<\/p>\n
Taylor most recently has coached the Lethal One, Leisel Jones, to a pair of gold medals along with one of the silver variety at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Taylor also coached Shayne Reese at the Olympics as well.<\/p>\n
Over the past 10 years, Taylor has produced some of the top swimmers in Australia, and will bring his coaching knowledge to Nunawading. <\/p>\n
"The Board is very excited about this announcement and is now looking to work towards a number of the other major initiatives that have evolved from the strategic plan," General Manager Gary Barclay said.<\/p>\n
"The appointment of Rohan Taylor by the Nunawading Swimming Club to the newly created position of High Performance Coach is a positive and innovative move by the club," National Youth Coach Leigh Nugent said.
